Prescott Hill Climb Event

NSCA SPECIAL EVENT - Prescott Hill Climb

24th - 25th April, 2010


NSCA have had a very special invitation from the Bugatti Owners Club. We have been invited to the Prescott Hill Climb – This is the weekend of the British and Midland Hill Climb Championships, a great day out in itself. NSCA will be putting on a special display of cars in the paddock and we have the amazing opportunity to take the cars up the Hill Climb course over the weekend!!! Wow!!

Members with and without cars are welcome and there is on site camping for those who want to stay or we can point you in the direction of some great local hotels. So why don’t you come along for the weekend and join in the fun.

Wallingford Classic Vehicle Rally and Parade

9th May, 2010

NSCA members have been kindly invited to the this charity event held on behalf of 'Elizabeth' Coach for the disabled. All types of Classic and Custom Vehicles, enthusiast clubs, accessory and memorabilia stalls.

National Motor Museum Beaulieu Steam Weekend

A brand new event, with the Steam Car Challenge speed record car taking up residence NSCA have had a special invite to provide some additional steam cars. This will be a great weekend of quality steam locomotion of all types – if you are a car fan what better location, and again another great family day out. So drag the family along, see some of the most amazing cars in the country and say hi to us too? Please can you contact me ASAP if you would like to bring your car – cars attending will be at the invitation of the Museum so regrettably we cannot guarantee which cars will be chosen so get your interest in quick – but a great event to come along to anyway.



Castle Fraser, Aberdeenshire

Castle Fraser Rally

19th - 20th June, 2010

This is the 40th Anniversary of the Rally and it is run by the great Bon Accord Steam Engine Club.

A must for any Northern Member that can't make the Tour.

2010 Official Tour - Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland

20th - 25th June, 2010

The First Official Club Tour of the National Steam Car Association will be held in Dumfries and Galloway, with touring over the usual four days to Kirkubright,

New Galloway, Gatehouse of Fleet etc. This is through some of the most stunning scenery in the Boarders of Scotland. The Hotel has over 60 brands of Malt Whisky to discover and a fine wine cellar!

Kemble Extravaganza, The Airfield, Kemble, Gloucestershire

Kemble Rally

6th - 8th August 2010


Again NSCA have been invited to attend this great event. A well attended Steam Rally with a good selection of full size steam engines which runs Friday - Sunday.


This will be the perfect event for non car owning members to attend who really want to learn more and maybe get a little more hands on with the cars.

This year NSCA will be running a mini tour alongside the event. Monday to Thursday we will be touring the local area. Each day there will be long and short tour routes to suit all cars and especially ideal for those with smaller cars or that have never experienced a tour before. Will are able to camp on site from the Monday or there is hotel accommodation nearby. We especially want to encourage the new car owners and non car owners. This is the perfect event to come along and experience steam car touring - even if you don't have a car. On the Friday we will be working with the Steam Apprentice Club providing experiences for younger members and members' children.

Onslow Park Rally

29th - 30th August 2010


Onslow Park Rally will be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Sunday 29th and Monday 30th August 2010. Onslow Park is situated on the A458 Shrewsbury to Welshpool road, just outside Shrewsbury and is well signed from all directions.

There are over 1000 things to see and do at the Rally, with over 40 steam engines, tractors, vintage vehicles of all kinds, bicycles, perambulators,heavy horses, birds of prey. There is a working field this year specializing in pre 1930's and prairie veteran tractors. There will be steam ploughing, horse ploughing and vintage tractor ploughing.

On the Saturday there are usually a couple of steam cars made available to the Steam Apprentice Club, which NSCA are pleased to support.

The "Grand Parade" of steam engines takes place each day at 2pm and is a wonderful spectacle.

Last year NSCA had six cars in attendance and we welcome any new members to come along and join this great display.

Onslow Park is an NTET approved rally, and all cars attending must carry NTET discs.


The Great Dorset Steam Fair

This will be the 42nd GDSF. As the only truly national steam event in the UK, this is a must for all those who have a wide interest in steam power in all its variations.

If you would like to be considered for 2010 please get your entry requests in as soon as possible and places are limited. Please note that entry is the decision of the GDSF and not the section leader, as is always the case.

However NSCA always have a presence and both car and non car owners are encouraged to attend and join in with those members and their cars that are there.

Bedford Steam and Country Show

18th - 19th September 2010


The second largest gathering of steam engines after the Great Dorset this is a must attend rally. A couple of cars are always in attendance to this great event. There are 140 steam engine expected and there is loads to do for all the family. Each year there is a different special exhibit and with the Shuttleworth Collection, Swiss Gardens and Bird of Prey center it is a full day out.

Almere Haven Steam Festival, Holland

13th - 15th May, 2010


A great family day out at this lovely steam festival. NSCA will have 3 cars attending what is one of the largest displays of historic vehicles in Holland.



Flint Hill Steam Car Tour - USA

17th - 21th May 2010

A tour is to be held in the Flint Hills of Kansas. This is excellent touring country and the tour will be based out of Manhattan, Kansas.

There will be five days touring in the Flint Hills, places being visited will include:

Manhattan, Abilene, Museum of Independent Telephony, 1901 steam driven C.W Parker Carousel, Dwight D. Eisenhower's boyhood home, Eisenhower Library and Museum, Abilene and Smokey Valley Railroad, Historic Fort Riley, General George A. Custer's home, Wamego, 1879 Dutch Mill, Oz Museum, Columbian Theatre, and Hayes House.
