The Tour
A total of 10 cars made the trip to Jersey for the Inaugural Tour of the NSCA. Organised by Gerry and Anne Stoneman it was 'one of the best weeks steaming we have ever had'.
The weather was kind from the off and with an easy 40 miles steaming a day all the cars and their owners had plenty of time both to enjoy the scenery, spend time at the many places of interest and attractions that we visited and to savour the amazing hospitality of the island.
Making the Headlines
Mr Ian Sparks made the front page of the Jersey Evening Post, as interest grew around the island to the unusual sight of so many steam cars on the road.
Thanks must go to the Jersey Evening Post and their photographer Rob Currie who was seen out on a number of days.
Gerry and Anne make the front page of the Motoring Section
Later in the week the paper gave NSCA a double page spread in their motoring section. It was great to have so many locals coming up and saying that they had seen us in the paper. It certainly increased the interest and was a huge talking point every time we stopped.
Jersey Here We Come
Getting There
Peter Williams and Ian Sparks both Steamed onto the Seacat at Weymouth. Having to go on backwards in preparation for them being towed off at the other end.
On arrival we were welcomed by the resident Jersey Old Motor Club who had kindly turned out in their cars to welcome us to the Island. - For more information and photo see their web site at Jersey Old Motor Club
The Cars were alowed to take pride of place and line up outside the Samares Manor House, St Clement.
New Friends
The Members of the Jersey Old Motor Club meet us at the Dock before all driving across the island to La Corbiere Point for a Social Evening.
Some of the Jersey Old Motor Club members cars that kindly came out to meet us at the Dock.
Ian Sparkes takes members of the Jersey Old Motor Club to a special social evening organised by them for us visiting Steam Cars. It was a great evening and we are pleased to have made so many new friends.
President of the Jersey Old Motor Club, John Refault, catches up with the Steam Cars out on the tour at Jersey Lavender, just one of the many attractions that we visited.
Mr Refault's Lagonda didn’t look too much out of place to Gerry Stoneman’s Vanderbilt Racer.
Out and About
Haydn and Joy Davies in their Stanley. Haydn here showing the finer points of his reverse parking skills by the Sea for a photo opportunity at Rozel Bay.
Sally-Ann's Stanley at the Pallot Steam Museum - just in time to see the resident train steam into the Station!

Another lunch stop at a pub!!!
A Huge Thank You
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped us get there and also made our stay on the Island such a wonderful one.
